How to make a window peeper video
A window peeper video is a short vertical clip of you eating at a lit window at night, noticing the camera, staring at it and closing the curtain.
What are the four beats?
The post that started the trend runs 14 seconds. Whatever tool you use, keep this order, because the joke depends on it.
1. The push-in
The camera moves from a dark building to the one lit window. It takes about two seconds.
2. The bite
You are at a small table, mid-bite, with a burger in both hands. A takeaway bag on the table helps sell the scene.
3. The stare
You notice the camera and stare at it while still chewing. Make this the longest part: in the original it takes up most of the clip.
4. The curtain
You put the food down, stand up and pull the curtain shut. End on the closed curtain.
Which photo works best?
Use one clear photo of one person, facing the camera, in good light. Show the face and upper body. Skip sunglasses, heavy filters and group shots. Only use your own photo or one from another adult who agreed.
How can you make it?
Film it yourself
You need a friend, a window and a spot across from it. Your friend films only you, with your agreement, and never a stranger.
Use a template
One photo goes in and a short clip comes out. See the CapCut template guide.

How do you post it?
Export in 9:16, add the sound from the trend inside TikTok so it counts toward the trend, and tag it #windowpeeper.
