What is the window peeper trend?
The window peeper trend is a TikTok meme where a person eating alone at a lit window catches the camera watching, stares back and closes the curtain.
Where did it come from?
The trend took off in October 2026 after a 14-second TikTok showed the effect and invited people to try it themselves. The clip features a well-known comedy character eating a burger, which is why some people search for it as the Mr Bean window filter.
Why is it funny?
The joke is the role reversal. You expect to be watching someone who doesn't know you're there. Then they look straight at you, keep chewing and end the show themselves. Nobody speaks, and the long, flat stare does all the work.

Versions people make
